We had a great turnout for our potluck! More blocks came in for the friendship quilt some are working on. Cil gave out her block for everyone to work on.
We welcomed Kathy, who came to visit the group. We ended up in another room at Quilter's Junction which seemed to be "louder" then the other room. Which didn't seem to stop us from having a great time. 10 members attended.
Our "auction" was also an enjoyment to see who would get the prizes. We had patterns, books, coffee, and mugs that went out to those who signed up for them.
Kathy W's blocks finally made it back "home." Cil made this block first and then decided she didn't like it, so she made another one.
We all enjoyed both of them, and this one came out as a favorite.
Sharon returned her block of "salmanella" (sp), which we all loved.

Thursday, June 13, 2013
This really isn't a "general meeting" as we do not have officers in our guild. This guild is more for getting together and working on our projects.
We had about 12 members come and go. It was so much fun to see so many members show up. We had been running with about 5 members.
As you can see, we all chatted about what is going on, as well as talking about our projects. Lynn (TAS Board member) asked the group what they thought about getting the newsletter online instead of getting it through the mail. It was a good discussion. Most of the memebers stated they wanted it through the mail rather than online. Lynn will discuss this with the Board members at the next meeting.
Lynn, Sharon, Kathy, Teri, Deanna and JoAnn, brought in their blocks she completed for the friendship quilts.
Since the blog was started after we started doing friendship blocks, Kathy brought in the blocks that were done for her. She still has 2 blocks MIA. So, those who have them, need to let Kathy know where you are on doing them.
Barb's friendship quilt blocks are slowly arriving. She received these today.
2 more blocks were added to Susy's quilt.
Teri finished this block for Janet.
Deanna finished this block for Kathy.
Sharon was the first to return one of Lynn's blocks.
This group has been busy, and is looking forward to the next meeting.
NEXT MEETING IS THURSDAY JUNE 27TH, AT 10:00 AM. IT IS A POTLUCK, SO PLEASE BRING SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT.
JULY 10TH, (WEDNESDAY NOT THURSDAY) WILL BE THE FIRST MEETING IN JULY.
NEXT POTLUCK IS SEPTEMBER 12TH.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN US.
