Several members attended the meeting, with a few missing.

Barb, JoAnne, Sue, Joyce, Cis, and Susy (took photo).

Joyce talked to the members about how her group does their block challenges and the grop a a little bit of discussion on maybe incorporating some of the details in our group - maybe once a year. They use a focus fabric so the blocks all look a little more planned. The person who wins the blocks provides the focus fabric for the ext one and can't win those blocks. No back to back wins. Joann organized the potluck so everyone has their assignment of what to bring. Those that were not present can bring what they want.

Susy' block for Benjamin Biggs quilt she's working on.

Potluck is our next meeting - October 9, 2014.

Thank you to Susy for taking the photos and sending the information in to have it posted here.

September 11, 2014

Today was a good day for quilting!

We all talked about our potluck and Christmas Party coming up. We will be spending our Christmas Party at Cil's house. It should be awesome!

Our potluck has been moved to October 9th, because 5 of the members who attended will not be at our next meeting.

Kathy H, showed her basket block she has ready for the potluck drawing.

Susy was working on her miniature quilt.

And Sharon was working on her block - basting.

Cis showed her quilt she just finished and she appliqued the blocks in this.

Deanna B. made this block for Sharon's blocks.

Kathy W showed everyone how she stores her fabric. Check out Lynn's blog for the instructions. She went home and tried it out.

Don't forget - basket blocks are due at the potluck, and Christmas blocks (instruction to follow) due at the Christmas Party.
