The Applique Society's Quilt Group

Our group is a member of The Applique Society. (AKA TAS)

We are "Haven't Missed A Stitch" quilt group that meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at Quilter's Junction, 404 S Tower, Ste 5, Centralia, WA. We meet from 10:30 am to "whenever" up to 5 pm.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend. Visitors can come often - but expected to join The Applique Society within 3-4 visits.

Membership is around 20, with 6-7 regular attendance.

March 23, 2015

Today was a good group meeting. We had a good turn out.


Kathy W showed her quilt she finished.


Deanna helped show Kathy's quilt. We all enjoyed the quilt. She did an awesome job!


Questions were asked and we chatted about her quilt. Sue, Joanne, Sharon, Barb, and Deanna are in this photo.


Barb showed her newest finished project.

Lynn used the shops light-box and marked her back basting. She's working on the Bountiful Baskets along with some of the other members.

Reminder:

MAY MEETING WILL BE 1ST AND 3RD WEEKS - THURSDAY.  Retreat will also be at the first meeting.

Our next Quarterly Drawing will be as follows:

Theme:    Patriot
Colors:      White background (provided by group), blue and red. It can be any patriotic blue and red.
Due:         June 18, 2015 Potluck

13" background blocks are in the draw at the shop. If anyone wants to do extra it will cost $1.50 more. There are small 4" blocks as well, and quilters are welcome to do those as well to go with the blocks.

BLOCKS ARE TO BE APPLIQUED.

April 9, 2015

Today was a good day for a meeting.


Barb showed the quilt she put together and started quilting. She bought the blocks for $1 a while back and decided to put them all together.


Barb was quilting it at the meeting.


Cis working on her project.


Kathy H was appliqueing the flowers down that she's been working on for awhile.


Cil was working on her latest project.


Susy was piecing her block together.


This is the front of her block. This is part of a BOM.


These are the blocks she's completed so far for that quilt.


Lynn is working on her Quilts of Valor (QOV) block. She put the tail on and then had to redo it, as it wasn't set right.


It was great to see Teri after a long absents. She was working on some post card blocks. This is what she was working on while there.

Deanna showed up later, and the author left before getting more photos. It was a really good turn out and more where coming in as Lynn left.
